Our romantasy book club pick for October 2025 is Phantasma by Kaylie Smith. The book club will meet at 7pm on Thursday 30th October at Next Chapter Books, Corn Exchange. We expect the club to run for approximately an hour and 15 minutes.
Welcome to Phantasma - where there are only two rules: stay alive, and don’t fall in love. When Ophelia’s sister vanishes, her only hope is to enter Phantasma, a deadly game set in a haunted mansion, and win its prize: one wish. As she navigates nine perilous trials, a mysterious and maddeningly attractive stranger named Blackwell offers his help. But in a place where nothing is as it seems, trusting him could be her greatest mistake, especially when the most dangerous thing in Phantasma isn't losing the game, but losing her heart.
